Show us your ideas to make your backyard, block, street, neigbourhood, district, city, province, country, or even the whole world a better place!
The children's book "The Ballad of Planquadrat Garden" is a participatory book about participation: it tells the story of how a few dozen sad, grey backyards full of rubbish and concrete were slowly turned into a wonderful garden.
And you know what's best about this story? It isn't made up but really happened! |
Be a Change Maker
Now we are looking forward to hearing about your ideas. How would you like to change your environment? What do you wish for and which projects are you already working on?
Be inspired by our book and create your own copy by sticking in photos, drawing, colouring, and filling in speech bubbles with original quotes from the 1970s documentary! Then send us the last two pages (pages 22 and 23) and a photo of you with your book. We will print your submissions and show them in a big exhibition at Amtshaus Wieden together with everybody else's submissions. Good to know: the book is written on two language levels. The easier one - in little boxes on all the right pages - has been translated into English for you! You can find the English version here A few words to our adult readers: Children as well as youngsters and adults need role models and encouragement. It's important to show that people of all ages, cultural and economic backgrounds, have ideas for making this world a better place. We all need to know that others are working on projects which matter! Show us what inspires you, and inspire others to become change makers, too! |
Now you just need a book to get started?
